1. What is the Desktop Application Software Competition?

Answer: The Desktop Application Development competition is a platform to encourage young software developers from all the fields of education. The competition will not only judge the existing knowledge of the participants but will also guide and support them to acquire added knowledge towards augmenting their skills on software development.

2. When is the Desktop Application Software Competition taking place?

Answer: Registration for the competition will open on 21st Oct 2024. Deadline for submission of the Problem Statement is on 16th Nov 2024. Result of the competition will be declared on 3rd Jan 2025.

3. Who can Participate?

Answer: Students pursuing B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech who seek to apply their programming skills in the development of scientific software. While having a background in Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology or related fields with programming skills is preferable, we also consider students from other areas (ME, AE, EE, ECE etc.) or from other streams with strong programming skills.

4. How Can I participate?

Answer: To participate in the Desktop Application Software Competition, simply visit the website and click on Register .

5. What software will be used for the Hackathon?

Answer: The participants are free to use any software/technology that they are comfortable with for their submissions in the competition.

6. Should the participant be physically present to learn the software?

Answer: The participants need not be physically present for learning the software or for submitting the Problem Statement. The can refer to the links mentioned in the Resources tab and learn the required software online.

7. Are there any prizes for participants?
